Craigie moved back into the promotion places with this convincing victory although with better finishing they could quite easily have put double figures past their opponents.
Their first chance came straight from the kick off when a misplaced Peebles pass set up David Anderson but his shot was saved by David Simmons but they did take an early lead when Gary Georgeson released Stuart Martin and his cross was turned in by James Binnie who then had a number of chances to add to his tally but firstly shot narrowly past then was crowded out by a desperate visiting defence when well placed before Stevie Manson and Anderson combined to set up Georgeson who shot past, and as the one way traffic continued Kyle Hay rounded Simmons but his low cross was just to far in front of Anderson before Dale Urey made a last gasp challenge to thwart Anderson.
Defender David Jeffrey twice came close to scoring with headers but was unable to direct them on target but the second goal came just before half time when Martin and Binnie set up Anderson who after Simmons had saved his initial effort squared for Georgeson tp score.
Anderson eventually got his goal in the opening minute of the second half following up after Binnie's shot was blocked, and he got his second goal when Georgeson returned Martin's cross back across goal to leave him with a tap in.
Craigie's fifth goal came when another Martin cross was headed past Simmons by Manson before Anderson completed his hat trick from the penalty spot after Stevie Sproule was brought down in the penalty area.
Anderson then shot over before the last goal came in the final minute when Kris O'Neil turned a defender inside out in the box before crossing for fellow sub Lloyd Dignan to head home. |
