After an enforced absence because of christmas and the bad weather Craigie kept their promotion hopes going with a steady if unspectacular win over their border opponents.
An early chance for David Anderson was missed before Ryan McKenzie did well to deflect a shot from Damian McNulty for a corner with the visitors first attempt on goal.
Craigie had the better possession but were unable to test Scott Dowie in the visitors goal, and as the half wore on Kelso came more into the match but were also unable to threaten Craig Weir's goal.
Craigie took the lead when Stevie Manson released Stevie Sproule on the right, and his cross found Stuart Martin unmarked at the far post, and he headed into an empty net.
Kelso began the second half well, and good play by Mark Lockhart saw his cross find Derek Burnett but he headed when unmarked in front of goal, but much like the first half neither side came close to a goal until Anderson found Gary Georgeson but Dowie saved well.
Craigie did add a second clinching goal when Manson was needlessly fouled in the penaty area, and Anderson sent Dowie the wrong way from the spot.
After that Kelso never looked like getting back into the match, and Craigie held on for a vital three points.
