An early chance for Lothian saw Paul Scales head over when well placed but they soon took the lead when Craig Hume' cross was cleared as far as Charles McAleavey, and his cross was headed in by Wayne McIntosh.
The same player then shot past, and just when Craigie threatened to come back into the match he added a fine individual second goal beating a number of challenges before shooting past Weir.
Weir then made an excellent save to prevent a hat trick early in the second half before Sammy Hassan shot over with Craigie's best chance, and they fell further behind when Weir again thwarted McIntosh but he returned the ball for Gary Black to score.
Michael Olsson saw red for the home side but McIntosh missed the resultant penalty, and the ten men continued to battle, and new signing David Anderson had a goal disallowed for offside but he did net in the final minute after good work by Stevie Sproule. |
