An understrength Craigie threw away a two goal lead, and with it two vital points.
They started the game well, and took a deserved lead when Kyle Hay's corner was cleared back to him he set up Stuart Martin who beat a defender on the edge of the penalty area, and shot home via the inside of the post.
Easthouses came more into the game after this but were unable to seriously threaten home keeper Craig Weir, and it was the home side who doubled their lead when Hay's free kick was headed powerfully home by Lloyd Dignan.
They should have added a third early in the second half when Hay's shot was deflected into the path of Stevie Manson but he shot past when well placed, and they were almost made to pay for this miss in the visitors next attack but Weir saved well from Craig Stupart but he was beaten minutes later when John Hunter found Danny Watson, and his shot found the net despite a valiant attempt to clear from a Craigie defender.
Kevin Robertson had a long range effort held by Brian Young as Craigie struggled in the second half although they almost added a third when Dignan forced a god low save from Young, and from the resultant corner the same player he saw his header cleared off the line.
The visitors equalised inside the last ten minutes when David Arthur's high ball wasnt dealt with by the home defence, and Stupart forced the ball past Weir, and they almost grabbed a winner but Weir saved well from sub Ryan Curran. |
