Craigie suffered their first pre-season defeat in this match for the J.C.Allan Challenge Cup, although they are unlikely to face this level of opposition in their quest for promotion.
They fell behind early when a quick throw found Callan Adam, his cross was turned in by Stephen McKeown who soon turned provider when John McLay headed in his cross.
Craigie soon pulled a goal back when Steven Sproule, Andy Dewar and Steven Manson combined to set up David Anderson who finished well.
McLay headed over for Arthurlie before they added a third goal when Michael Keenan's shot was parried, and John Bradford was on hand to tap home the rebound.
Keenan headed a fourth early in the second half before Ryan McKenzie was penalised for a push in the penalty area, and Frank McKeown netted the resultant penalty.
To their credit Craigie never gave up, and pulled a goal back when Dewar and a substitute trialist set up sub Kris O'Neil who calmly finished past Derek Barnes, and they soon pulled another one back when sub Steven Galloway was pushed in the box, and another sub Marc Robertson fired the penalty into the roof of the net. |
