An injury time penalty for the visitors saw Craigie share the opening day honours with their promotion rivals.
They survived early penalty claims when Steven Rudd appeared to be pushed in the penalty area as he tried to get on the end of a left wing cross.
Both sides despite playing well struggled to create any clear cut chances in the early stages with any threat to either keeper coming from long range or dead ball situations.
Adam McMath had a chance for Gretna but was crowded out in the area before Ubong Umotong saw a shot b;ocked before firing the rebound over as the first half ended goalless.
Craigie the second half well, and got their reward through an excellent individual goal from Stuart Martin who cut in from the left wing to shoot low past Josh Richardson.
Gretna came back into the match and Michael Atai saved well from a Dean Rea free kick, before Craigie almost added a second when Umotong's cross was to high for David Anderson at the back post.
The visitors equalised when another Rea free kick was flicked on, and Steven Black was on hand to score.
Martin almost restored Craigie's lead immediately but his shot flew narrowly over but it seemed they had clinched the points in the final minute when sub Steven Galloway's free kick was headed in by Keith Pullen but there was still time for Gretna to get a point when McMath was pushed in the area, and Rea gave Atai no chance with the spot kick. |
