Craigie gained their first victory of the season but were made to work hard for it, and had to come from behind at half time.
Jon Manson almost gave them an early lead but his shot from the edge of the box went narrowly over before Ubong Umotong's threatening run was ended by a well timed tackle by a home defender.
Ex Craigie player Jason Young headed a Graham Nisbet corner wide with Ormiston's first attempt on goal as both sides attempted to break the deadlock but the home side did open the scoring when George Calder's cross was laid into the path of Craig Fisher, and his shot from the edge of the box beat Michael Atai.
Craigie equalised early in the second half when Steven Galloway's long cross saw Umotong beat home keeper Paul Cadger to the ball to poke it into the empty net, and they took the lead minutes later when Stuart Martin's shot was deflected into the path of David Anderson who beat Cadger at the near post, and they almost added a third when Cadger saved well from Keith Pullen's header.
They were however unable to add a decisive third goal, and were almost made to pay when Young missed a late chance to equalise but Craigie held on for all three points. |
