After struggling in the first half Craigie eventually cruised to an easy three points.
Kevin Robertson headed past in the opening minute before the break of the ball on the edge of the penalty area found Ubong Umotong in front of goal but he was forced wide by Dean Avery in the visitors goal, and although he managed to get a cross in Steven Galloway headed over.
It was Eyemouth however who should have opened the scoring when Steven Shennan and Alan Jess combined to find Leigh Walker but he sliced his shot well past when well placed before a mistake in the home defence gave Mark Windram a chance but Michael Atai blocked well with his legs.
David Anderson set up Galloway but his shot was blocked by a defender allowing Avery to save before Umotong's attempted lob was an easy save just before half time.
Craigie took the lead early in the second half when Umotong laid Ross Cameron's long ball into the path of Anderson who made space on the edge of the penalty area for a shot which was deflected past Avery by a defender.
Andrew Sword had a chance for the visitors to quickly equalise amid claims for off side but Atai again saved well but it was Craigie who added a second when Umotong again released Anderson who after rounding Avery was brought down by a defender for a clear penalty which Umotong netted confidently into the corner, and it was Umotong who added his second and Craigie's third when he outmuscled a visiting defender to get on to the end of Stevie Sproule's long ball and finished well past the advancing keeper.
Anderson and Umotong were replaced by Kris O'Neil and Jordan McKenzie, and it was the subs who combined for the final two goals with O' Neil's superb ball over the last defender being finished by MclKenzie with a neat lob over Avery before McKenzie headed home O'Neil's free kick for the final goal. |
