Craigroyston got their league campaign off to a winning start with this convincing victory away to one of their promotion rivals.

They started well and Steven Manson shot past before the same player was thwarted by the legs of home keeper Ross Combe.

Lloyd Dignan headed over from a Kyle Hay corner as they dominated the first half despite playing against the wind as the home side relied on the long ball time after time to no effect.

Craigie eventually took the lead just before half time  when Stuart Martin's corner was headed home by Kevin Robertson.

Easthouses almost scored an undeserved equaliser minutes later but Lawrence Dunn shot over when well placed.

The visitors doubled their lead early in the second half when David Jeffrey did well to win the ball, and found Sean Martin who shot past Combe, and they added a third when Stuart Martin was fouled as he shot and Lloyd Dignan netted the resultant penalty before they added a fourth when Manson set up Sean Martin who scored from the edge of the box to end a spell of three goals in eight minutes.

Stuart Martin was foiled by Combe as he tried to round him inside the box, and sub Graeme Bernardi got the ball stuck under his feet as they threatened to score more but it was the home side who ended the scoring through a David Beattie penalty in the last minute.
