Despite the convincing looking result Craigie were made to battle to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
Ormiston started better, and it was ex Craigie player Jason Young who had their first chance but Craig Weir saved well with his legs, and he again thwarted the same player minutes later.
Despite rarely showing as an attacking force Craigie almost took the lead against the run of play when Sean Martin latched on to a short pass back but his lob over home keeper Paul Cadger went narrowly past.
John Hall then set up another ex Craigie man in Jordan McKenzie but Weir again saved well before Young and McKenzie combined just on the interval but the latter shot just wide.
The visitors took the lead early in the second half when Martin's pass split the home defence, and Stevie Manson beat Cadger from a narrow angle but they again rode their luck when McKenzie beat Weir but was unlucky to see his shot rebound from the crossbar, and they hit the bar again minutes later when Graham Nisbet's wind assisted cross deceived Weir.
But it was Craigie who struck again when Martin's cutback was only cleared as far as substitute Graham Hare who netted easily, and Hare was again involved in the final goal but he battled well to find Manson who rounded Cadger to score.
A good three points but luck was on Craigie's side at times. |
